Sustainably Harvested Bamboo
The handles of our toothbrushes are crafted from sustainably harvested bamboo. Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing renewable plants in the world and grows naturally without the need for pesticides or fertilisers. Once harvested, the plant regenerates from its root system, allowing bamboo forests to continue growing without replanting.
Natural Horse & Boar Hair Bristles
Our toothbrush bristles are made from natural horse and boar hair rather than synthetic plastic fibres. These traditional materials have been used in brush making for centuries and provide a completely plastic-free alternative to conventional nylon bristles.
The hair used in our brushes is sourced as a by-product of existing agricultural industries and traditional brush manufacturing. It is carefully cleaned, sterilised, and prepared before being set into the bamboo brush head.
By using natural fibres that already exist within established industries, these materials are responsibly repurposed rather than relying on petroleum-based plastics, creating a more sustainable and plastic-free brushing experience.
Anti-Mould Base Protection
Our bamboo toothbrush handles feature a non-toxic protective seal on the base. This helps reduce moisture absorption in the most porous part of the bamboo, preventing mould and improving durability while maintaining the biodegradable bamboo handle.
End of Life & Disposal
Our toothbrush is made entirely from natural materials and is fully compostable. At the end of its life, you can simply place the whole toothbrush into your home compost or garden soil, where it will naturally break down over time without leaving plastic behind.
