The problem
Every day, millions of people brush their teeth with plastic toothbrushes without ever questioning what happens to those bristles over time. As plastic bristles wear down through regular brushing, they shed micro and nano plastics. For us, the question became simple: if we're trying to reduce plastic consumption, why are we putting it in our mouths twice a day?
What we built instead
Instead of asking how we could make a better plastic toothbrush, we asked a different question: why does a toothbrush need plastic at all? That question led to WildBristle—a toothbrush made with a sustainably sourced bamboo handle and natural animal bristles that's 100% plastic-free, 100% biodegradable and made from natural materials. With a 5000 year history.
Where we are now
Today, WildBristle is reaching more Australians than we ever imagined, with a community that grows everyday through our products, educational content and nightly TikTok lives. While the journey is still only beginning, our mission remains the same: challenge the everyday, question plastic and make natural alternatives easier for everyone.
